Move more, Move Better, Move Authentically
Mind Body Flow combines multiple somatic techniques with yoga and dance to encourage participants to focus on what their bodies can do, rather than what they look like. It also empowers participants to build a deep, intuitive awareness of their bodies, their quirks, their strengths and their weaknesses in order to move in ways that feel authentic, joyful and rejuvenating. Litza developed an iteration of Mind Body Flow many years ago and recently updated the class to suit a broader range of bodies, ages and abilities.
Practiced in silence and with music, Mind Body Flow builds movement skills from the ground up, waking up the muscles and the skeleton in the order of infant kinesthetic development. It combines breathing, rhythm and visualizations with simple sequences of integrated, flowing movement. It develops universal movement skills in four key areas - balance, strength, range, awareness - using simple, easy to understand language.
The class is suitable for anyone who wants to quiet their mind and become more aware of their bodies. It is low impact and also designed for older adults, women experiencing menopause, new mothers, people who spend long hours sitting, and those who are recovering from injuries.
